The UK's Medicines regulator has rejected a request by Pfizer to ban Viagra after a study showed it raised Viagra sales by more than 70 per cent.
Pfizer said it had reviewed the study and that it had been persuaded to change the drug's licence after the FDA's advisory panel considered it was "not recommended".
The FDA's advisory panel had earlier recommended that the drug be withdrawn from the market, which has been linked to reports of an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes, in the first quarter of 2017, as it emerged that more than 5 million people had taken the drug.
